I have learned about the benefits of house hacking, and I want to share my journey with you. This is how I went from being broke to owning close to 30 houses in less than ten years. I convinced my wife to be flexible and live in a less desirable area with leaks and problems initially, but I promised her that eventually, I would get her the house of her dreams. I have been investing in Tampa for 30 years, with 20 years spent specifically on investing. I came from Puerto Rico without knowing the language but with big dreams of making it big. After reading the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad," I got inspired to become a long-term landlord and break away from the rat race. I had many ups and downs and faced significant losses in the past, but I finally figured out how to build up a portfolio with the most potential for growth.

Here's what I learned: You need to be patient, stress-test your properties, buy cheap and rent high, fix your repairs and build your equity, rinse and repeat, and never live beyond your means. This is how I was able to go from knowing nothing to owning 30 properties in 10 years.

I would love to know your house hacking story if you are willing to share it.
