What's the "biggest or worst" lie you ever believed?

We all get lied to from time to time, especially in business. It is a human frailty that we all have a desire to believe what we're told by others, especially those we like and trust.

What was the biggest or worst lie you were ever told and did you believe it?

David,

The biggest lie is when an investor says he is a cash buyer, and you say to provide a POF, and then you find out he is number 15 of a daisy chain and don't have a pot to piss in and a window to throw it out of.
