New investors - What are you looking for

What are you looking for from BP - focused attention on a niche or a broad approach? 

What I mean is do you want a series of podcasts/posts/books on a particular topic - or- a collection of topics which you can choose from. 

Also, at what point do you move from a new investor to the next stage?

I ask this because I am not new and I am looking for a more focused approach. I just want to see if I am the only one.
