The median rents listed for a neighborhood aren't going to be too useful because there is so much variance between individual listings. This is especially true in areas like mid-market where high-end new construction is coming online next to 100+ year old buildings.  

The relative rents over time is pretty interesting though. I made a time lapse version for fun.
