Contractor recommendations for shed alteration & landscape design
I posted on NextDoor with little success, so trying here as there was one post here on BP that seemed to get decent traction although maybe it was the subject that piqued interest. I also posted on DIY forum and that helped give insight on what to do about my shed but no help in finding folks to make the changes or estimate cost.
So basically looking for 2 separate contractor needs, would like referrals if you have any. DM me please. Referrals aside, comments/suggestions welcome here.
1. I bought a place that has a shed that was built decently but with bad foundation work. Simply bolted onto concrete flooring with no foundation perimeter to address water intrusion issues when it rains. There's some damage over time that will just gets worse if not addressed. DIY forum online folks suggested jacking/raising up the existing shed and fixing the perimeter with brick or concrete, etc. to mount the shed onto. That seems like a decent thing to do. Although I wonder from cost & work perspective, is that better/cheaper to do vs demolishing the existing shed and rebuild properly or replacing with a prefab unit (from Home Depot, etc.) after the demolition. How much would it cost to jack the shed up and fix the foundation? Vs a demo + rebuild vs demo + replace with prefab (I see HD sells an approximately equivalent 10x12 or so shed for $4k).
2. I'm looking to redo the lawn on the property with native garden and changing some of its design like walkway, etc. For native garden aspect, would like to incorporate California poppy, marigold, yarrow. I'd think I should look for contractors that can do the design as well as native gardens.
