Will the High-Speed Rail Make You Move?

Greetings fellow BP'ers in San Jose,

The High-Speed Rail Authority Board of Directors recently issued an update on their 2016 Business Plan. 1 of the 4 points mentioned Merced as a strategic service station that would allow residents living in Merced in 2025  to get to San Jose in less than 1 hour. My question is this to you currently living in San Jose:

Does this make you think about moving to Merced, CA?

If Yes/No please explain.

@Anmmar Alsaggaf

Great post- yes this definitely would encourage people to move to Merced, especially as it further develops as a college town, perhaps similar to UC Davis.  Just last week, a colleague of mine moved to Manteca from San Jose and is commuting 1.5 hrs by car. So yes, there will def be demand for lower home prices there.
