Best ways to relocate rental properties in other states to SD.

Hi, I am new to San Diego. I have rental properties in NV.  What is the best way to relocate my investments from NV to SD?  Should I sell them first and look for property here in SD?  How soon, after the sale in NV, do I need to buy property in SD?
