Hello! My wife and I have been looking for our first single family home in Clairemont, San Diego (92117) for quite some time now. There is very little inventory and lots of competition. Does anyone know of any unique strategies for finding an off market property? Thanks!

@Twana Rasoul Thank you! We are looking to buy and hold (this is intended to be our primary residence for the next 5 years so it will be owner occupied). Traditional bank loan.

@Nicole Holcomb Thank you for the suggestion. We are only looking at SFH right now as we want to sort out our situation before looking at investment properties. Our agent is networking with others and we have been doing A LOT of pounding the pavement (sent hundreds of yellow letters and actually did some door knocking the other weekend).
