Best areas for SFH in SD for budget of $700,000 before rehab?
We are looking into purchasing a rental in the Sd area. What are the better areas to invest in with a purchase price of $700,000 with a rehab budget total of $150,000? I'm familiar with SD, just not most places where our purchase limit puts us, thus the inquiry.
What areas do you like under this scenario?
From a quick scan, Oceanside looks appealing. Oceanside? Some of Bay Park areas? South of Balboa Park?
TIA

Bay Park might be a little expensive within your budget, there's a shot you could get lucky finding an undervalued fixer or something off-market. Golden Hill area (south of Balboa) would definitely fit within the budget and I can see that area appreciating well in the future.
I would check out Clairemont, Serra Mesa, Mira Mesa, Rancho Bernardo, and Poway as well.
