Recent Graduate Looking to Get Started

Hi Everyone!

My name is Mackenzie Wilson and I have been following Bigger Pockets for about two years or so. I'm finally starting to take action into my RE investing journey and looking for some advice. I am 22 years old, originally from Maui, Hawaii, and a recent graduate of San Diego State with a BA in Business Marketing. I've been shooting and editing Real Estate photography with a business partner in Maui for the last two years and now expanding our business in San Diego this year.

In 2022 I am looking to house-hack a duplex in San Diego and have around $25,000 saved up for a down payment on a property. I have excellent credit and am favoring the Home Possible loan option right now. Since I work as a Real Estate photographer I have friends that are lenders and agents so I am not worried about assembling my team.

I am not fully familiar with all the areas in San Diego County yet so my question is, what areas in SD potentially fit my current financials or could be best for what I want to accomplish. I know I have plenty of research and deals to analyze in San Diego but I wanted to share a post on here and begin connecting with this wonderful community. I would love and really appreciate any other advice or getting to know some of you all!

I appreciate whoever read this post and look forward to connecting!

Thanks
