Greetings BP. We are embarking on a project in Brantford, ON where we will be building an ADU. I'm looking to get some feedback from people that have done this in the past. What successes/failures have you had? Can you share design ideas? Must-have features? Would you do it again? What would you do differently? Are some communities more open to it than others? Looking for any input.

Seems like there is an amazing opportunity for this in more & more communities.

FYI, the unit we would like to build will be a 2 bedroom unit. We are holding onto the property as a long-term rental. There is already a legal duplex on the property with 2 bedrooms in each unit.
