Getting started with rental properties

Hey guys!

I’m wanting to get into rental properties. I’m a bit discourage right now, I spoke to a quicken loan rep and was informed that you have to have $20-30k to put down on investment property, due to the risk. However, you only have to have 5% down if you’re purchasing for a home. I have nothing to put down right now, but I will have once I get experience and start bringing in additional income.

I’ve researched different ways to achieve my goal, with no money down. How do you connect with the right people and find someone who can help, to go in on, and also trust. Of course, I realize that being the team member with little to offer now, I’m probably more of the liability when it comes to trust. I just want to connect with the right people and work on developing my dreams.

Is there a class, website, anything that will put me in the right direction, to accomplish my goals?
