Trying to us FHA for second home.
This is my first post here so I apologize if this is in the wrong area or this topic has already been discussed. I'm new in real estate and started my first 2 months buying a 4plex and 2 duplexs out of state and have only owned them for 3 months. These properties are in Indiana and I live in Washington state. I am trying to take care of my mother who lives in Alaska by purchasing a single family home for her in the same area as my rentals in Indiana but would like to get an FHA loan by claiming this as a primary residence and my current home as a secondary. There is no way my mother could qualify for a loan even if I co-signed. I do travel frequently to that area and would have one bedroom setup for me so I could see her and check up on properties current and future so it would be a second home for me. Any advice would greatly be appreciated on trying how to get an FHA loan.

@Franco Bacco while that sounds like a good idea, I would caution you against doing anything against FHA guidelines that could even remotely get you into trouble. If the home for your mom will not actually be YOUR primary home, I would advise you not to get an FHA owner-occupied loan on the property. I have had clients who have been investigated and targeted for mortgage fraud as a result of signing loan documents stating that a home was to be their primary residence and it never was. Not a fun picture......
