Contract knowledge

HI I'm looking to better understand contracts or see if someone can help me with a contract. I'm simply borrowing money from someone who is a private investor for a 6 month term. I don't have a cma or anyone of the sort to ask or draw out a contract and wanted to know how can I draw out my own contract and what validates the contract to hold up if action is to be taken against the contract? Thank you for your concern and help
