Gaining Investors for a RE Investment Corporation?

Tony Blood
Posted

Hello BiggerPockets friends. We are looking for high networth investors, and were looking to find out the best approach any of you have had gaining these types of investors. We are looking to start small in the $3-$4M initial start, eventually hoping to be around the $10M mark.

Our goal is to scarf up as many good investment properties right now in a long term/short term diversification. Our thought was to give back between 10-20% of their initial investment on an annual basis.

The question becomes: How do we find these high net-worth investors, and how do we gain access? I feel confident our business plan will do most of the selling. Has anyone here done anything similar?

We want to put a minimum investment of $250K, because our rationale is that anyone putting up that kind of cash will not be as focused on a daily basis of "what their money is doing" etc.

So, are we off the mark?
