Setting up a self-directed IRA LLC

One local RE CPA I consulted with will set it up for $4000 :crying:

I've seen a website that will provide state specific forms and instructions on how to set up your own SDIRA for $125. I'd like to post the website here, but since I'm a newbie on the forum it was blocked.

Has anyone else tried to "do it yourself"?

I want the checkbook control and will probably start out with a smaller account (under $50K).
