Hello everyone. Im an agent that would like to purchase a home off market from a client. Do I need to run this transaction through my broker since it is not going on the MLS?

@Terri B. No, you’re free to do a private deal. You’re not getting paid to buy it so it wouldn’t go through your broker but you better make sure you disclose you’re an agent to the homeowner in the contract.

Thank you Michael. I had a drafted reply to you and still working on this deal. Challenge is that I have an exclusive agreement with the seller because they wanted to list it, but changed their mind.

@Terri B. Just speak to your broker about it and they should be able to give you some easy solutions.

Thank you @Michael. I'm also trying to do what's best for the client/seller.
