How to apply to landlord Affordable housing

Hi everyone, I’m new to the real estate world so forgive me for any lapses in terminology. I’m looking to purchase my first rental property and have heard the affordable housing situation in Ontario is very bad right now so I believe the government will be looking to private landlords to apply to for subsidized rent from the government. Im wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction with regards to how I can apply, where I can get more information (the government of Canada websites are brutal to navigate) and what the requirements are and so on. Any help is greatly appreciated!
