CPA Recommendations in the Milwaukee Area?

Posted

Hi All -

New-ish to the Milwaukee/Wauwatosa area and looking for a reasonably-priced, REI-saavy CPA to pro-actively optimize as much as possible from a tax perspective. My fiancee and I are both very invested in learning as we go, although we're relatively new to the game.

Nothing too fancy at the moment.  We owner-occupy half of a duplex and rent the other half.  Definitely looking to expand this in the coming years.

We have some questions surrounding which expenses of the past year qualify for deductions, how to structure future acquisitions, deducting for depreciation, and cost-segregation.  To be clear, I don't believe we're anywhere near cost-segregation.  But we are hoping to form a relationship with a knowledgeable CPA to learn about these things, and to develop a tax strategy which we can scale as we grow our portfolio.

I realize that there are many CPA's on this site, however, I would much rather hear references from satisfied clients than self-referrals.

Many thanks in advance!
Barry
