Microsoft to invest $500m for affordable housing around Seattle

What are people's opinions on the affect of property values and rental rates for the area? Are there construction or building opportunities/benefits to take advantage of here?

They can throw all the money they want at these issues, but until the policies that cause them are reversed, it will do no good. Unfortunately, the coastal states are all pushing the same philosophies and regulations, which will continue making the matters worse, not better. Unfortunately companies like Microsoft all share in those philosophies, and I see things getting worse, not better.
