Part-Time Flippers - Do we need a Contractor License?
My husband and I are going to be doing some part-time, single family, house flipping. I am a licensed Real Estate Agent, and he plans on doing most of the rehab work himself (subbing out the projects he is unable to do). We are in the process of setting up our LLC, and are hearing conflicting information on whether or not he should get a Contractor's License. He thinks we should just go ahead and do it - to cover ourselves. I think we could get a few flips under our belts since there will be some expenses associated with getting licensed. Thoughts?
