Any licensed home inspectors, can I ask about your profession?

Hello, first time poster on BP. I am looking to talk with any licensed VA home inspector about getting started in the industry. I've done some looking on my own and come across several institutes offering training, but when I look at actual reviews of the courses, it's mostly people trash talking the other courses and I can't tell what's legit and what's not. If anyone who has been through the process can help shed some light that would be very appreciated.
