San Antonio VS Houston TX / OUT OF STATE INVESTOR

Eric Alvarez

I am looking to expand my knowledge about the markets in San Antonio and Houston Texas, to purchase an investment property.

In addition, could anyone provide some quick insight on these markets? One better than the other?

Looking to really narrow down these markets to the neighborhoods and zip codes to focus on.

Thank you for reading!

I grew up in the Houston area but currently live in San Antonio and conduct all of my real estate business here.

I prefer San Antonio personally. For you, being an out of state investor looking for rental property here, I would certainly take a look at affordable single family homes on the North East or North West sides of town, preferably without any significant structural or foundation problems as these can be risky to manage repairs on when you aren't local.
