Sub metering a SFR with a pad site.

Soooo I am finishing up an interesting deal. Its a lake house zoned SFR on a large lot. There is an efficiency downstairs and a 2/1 above. I have added an RV pad with full hookups to rent out. I can spend a few hundred and have realtime data on everyone's electric usage.

Has anyone done this where 2+ renters share a utility?  Is it better to do all bills paid with a cap on usage?  I don't want to calculate and bill every month.

Any experience shares?
