I'm completely new to RE; trying to do first wholesale Houston,TX

Is wholesaling dead in Houston and surrounding areas? I managed a successful trucking company for 10 yrs, but was forced to change from the trucking industry; I am looking for long term investing and financial stability!.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am reading, watch and listening to as much as possible to learn as much as possible. I am stuck trying to find #s for vacant properties; that cost I don't have. I have a large list of 200+ potentially house, some vacant, from D4D.. Just this last weekend. Anyone want to team up? or Can anyone point me in the right direction of what best cost efficient skip tracing and/or mailer services (I am still researching)? Thank you in advance.
