DFW Investor Friendly Contractors
Hi BiggerPockets community. I am new to real estate investing and still educating myself but wanted guidance on the best method to finding a good contractor in the DFW, Texas area. Are there any contractors you have used or are using that you recommend? Once I am ready to pull the trigger, I am looking to invest using the BRRRR method in the DFW area.

@Mike Ingles thanks for posting on this topic. I do have 1 referral but I would also suggest with networking with some local Real Estate Investment Groups. If you know good local people that have used a contractor then that is always the best type of recommendation. So I've included a list of investor clubs below as well as 1 contractor that I feel very comfortable with recommending:
- Blake Johnson with Finishing Touches Remodeling. Blake does about 250 renovation projects each year....yes, that many. He's been featured on "Flip or Flop Fort Worth" and has TONS of references. They even have a great "Base Camp" feature which allows the contractors to load pictures and video so you can see the work without having to stop by all the time. Just an all around great rehab company. www.finishingtouchesremodeling.com
Real Estate Groups
Several of these will have similar names but they are different. And these are the groups that I feel comfortable recommending. Several groups in DFW will try very hard to sell you things if you attend. Some are like $20,000. These are not that.
DFW REI Club – – meet about 50 times per year. Lots of different topics and a very friendly group.
DFW Mid Cities REIA - - meets each month and is completely free. Usually free food and free drinks.
DFW REI Network Investing Meetup - - Started in Bigger Pockets this group meets once per month. Just straight information and super friendly atmosphere.
AREA Real Estate Investing Group – https://www.meetup.com/realestate-445/ - Meets once per month and is usually well attended
