Attention Texas Landlords & Property Managers: New Firearm Law
The last Texas legislative session passed various firearm bills into law which will directly affect landlords and property managers.
For example, House Bill 302 prohibits any “no firearms” clauses in multifamily leases. It further protects tenants' rights to possess lawfully owned firearms and ammunition in their units. This also applies to manufactured home lots. The new law even allows tenants to transfer their guns directly between their personal vehicles and these locations.
The law becomes effective on September 1, 2019.

I personally have not seen such prohibitions. Only language on prohibited uses for weapons incl guns, but not possession or transportation.
