Dallas & Houston investor networking events - Which are the best?
Hi all,
I have seen a lot of networking events for investors marketed here, on MeetUp, etc. I am trying to figure out which ones would be the best to invest my time in, if I was hoping to meet a lot of fellow RE investors.
I feel that these things are a really mixed bag when it comes to attendance.
Can anyone recommend the most well attended investor networking events in Houston and Dallas?
Much thanks!

@Benjamin L. I can certainly show the "most well attended" but often times those groups advertise and have a lot of high pressure sales with them. Meaning, they'll have a presentation where they will show a small amount of information and then say "pay us $10,000 to learn the rest". There is one in the DFW area that is often very well attended but often its the smaller groups where you can learn the most with no pressure of buying anything. Her's a short list (there are others):
Bigger Groups:
Propelio - probably the most popular group currently. Has open bar, free food, lots of education, and generally well attended with very little sales pressure. Hundreds of people will be in attendance.
Dallas REI Group - Lots of investors but you will be asked to join their membership...and asked often
Lifestyles Unlimited - Not really high pressure sales but this is certainly a membership only club. They will walk you through each and every step of the process to become a SF or MF investor. Lots of members and have groups in DFW and Houston. You can attend a couple of meetings for free to see what they are about.
Smaller Groups
DFW REI Investor Group - absolutely NO GURU sales is their advertisement and they mean it. Meet once per month and topics are anything from insurance for real estate investors to notes.
DFW Mid Cities REIA - Great free group. Meets once per month. Very friendly.
DFW REI Club - One of the oldest Real Estate Investor clubs in the state of Texas. They meet each week. Definitely a club to follow since they cover so many different subjects through the year.
AREA Real Estate Investment Group - Meets once per month. Friendly group.
There are certainly others out there but hopefully this will help in some way.
