Looking for Realtor in DFW (VA Home Loan)
Hello there!
My husband is a 100% service-related disabled Army veteran and we are looking to purchase our first home in the Dallas Fort Worth area within the next 3-6 months. I would love to be connected to a realtor who knows the ins and outs of the area, and is very familiar with the VA Home Loan. We are FI-minded and although this will be our primary residence for many years, we have an *investment* mindset and would like someone with similar values and visions to help us decide on the best property. If you are a realtor, or have someone you'd highly recommend, I would love to hear it. We're looking in the Garland-McKinney region, or possibly Arlington, but we're still open to other possibilities. My husband was born and raised in Amarillo but I have yet to visit. We are planning a trip out there from Oct 30th-Nov 6th and would love a local connection to get this ball rolling. Our credit scores are in the 700s and we are ready to go!
Thank you for your time!

@Cara Graca welcome to Texas! VA loans have some great benefits to Veterans but here in Texas we actually have an even better option - The Texas Veteran Land Board. The Texas VLB has an even deeper rate for Texas Veterans and will provide an extremely low rate that you cannot get anywhere else for veterans with over 30% disability. And the Texas VLB doesn't even require it to be on a VA loan. A VA loan still might be the best loan type for you but they will put that deeply discounted rate on any loan type as long as you are a Texas Veteran. There are a lot of misconceptions to VA loans and what we have as options as veterans. Feel free to tag me or Private Message me for any other questions. I also provided the link to the Texas VLB below. Thanks!
