Newbie wholesaler in South Carolina
Hello everyone! I’m new to bigger pockets and real estate in general. Just looking for some a little help and guidance as I venture into Real Estate investing. I have a few questions for anyone willing to help.
1- Ive decided to jump into wholesaling to begin my journey of investing. The first thing I would like to know is in SC, would I need to close with an attorney or a title company? I seem to not get a certain answer from my research.
2- as far as finding buyers I tried to go the list source route but our state doesn’t allow that information to be given out. How do you guys/girls find buyers?
3- last but not least, I’ve been doing my homework about the process of wholesaling for about 3/4 months and finally decided to jump out there. I’ve been marketing with bandit signs and driving for dollars so I think I’m on the right track. Would anyone be able to give me a few more pointers especially with dealing with wholesaling in the S.C. area? It’s always best to get information from someone with direct experience!
Thanks in advanced!!!

1. Close with attorney in South Carolina
2. Courthouse Retrieval System is what I use. You can get a subscription to it or realtors on Spartanburg and Greenville MLS have access to it through the MLS system. That is where I get my list but I also run scripts that verify and update addresses based on county records.
3. Direct mail has been hands down my most productive method.
I have been using Jerry Puckett for my mailings and have been very pleased.
