Getting started with commercial real estate investing

It's been a while since I've been on here for the reason of not completely prepared to dive in to investing and I am actually going to be investing in residential but I have a friend that is wanting to start in commercial with 3 other partners and is wanting to know how to get start and what are some good books and other resources for commercial REI? Anybody and all feedback is very much appreciated!
