@Nick Bennett I've used both Loiselle Insurance (Nate Green is my contact there) and Cross Insurance (Beth Deschene is my contact) for insurance on several investment properties in RI, including Providence.

The important thing is to get quotes from more than one. Even the best insurance agent/company may be overexposed in a certain area and their rates may reflect that, so it does pay to shop around and get competing bids.

(I'm assuming you're asking about insurance on long-term holds. If you mean for a rehab, definitely consider National Real Estate Insurance Group as they let you add/remove properties on a monthly basis and don't bother you with inspections. The RI companies I asked about rehab insurance wanted at least 6 months worth of policy paid for up front, no matter how fast the rehab went, and many times ended up just using RI Joint Reinsurance anyway.)
