Posted

Hi Guys,

I am trying to get the vacancy rates for each city in PA, MD and NJ. I also would like to get the unemployment rates in these cities now. Do you know how to get access to this data?

@Buyan Thyagarajan we manage 700 units in the Pittsburgh market. Our vacancy rate is around 5%. Its been as high as 8% and as low as 3% over the 18 years we have been in business. Vacancy will depend on the product you are providing, the market demand for that product in the specific area your property is located, the market, how you price your units etc...

For example I own one duplex since 1993 that has a vacancy rate of less than 1% and I own a 9 unit bldg since 2008 that is 10%
