Looking to build Philadelphia real estate agent/investor network
Hey everyone,
I am a 23 year old recent college graduate in economics working full-time at a commercial real estate lender in Center City Philadelphia. I am in the process of beginning a lifelong career in real estate investing, an industry that I have shared a true love for with my father & grandfather, both of whom were successful developers while I was growing up. My position inside the industry as a professional has given me a good inside look at how all the moving parts work together, and has only peaked my interest even more!
I have been studying & planning here on BP for many months. BP has helped me obtain many of the tools, resources & knowledge that I need to create my own business. Armed with all of these tools, I have a couple other things driving me to my final goal: I have a huge passion for real estate, I have a strong background in RE financials & number analysis, I have an attention to detail, and I have an endless drive to be successful.
My planned real estate strategy is to accumulate a portfolio of small multifamilys or SFHs, utilizing BP's BRRRR strategy to create cash-flowing Buy & Hold properties. We would target value-add properties in strong locations, where we could significantly increase the home value to draw great tenants at lower total purchases prices. Many years from now (5-10) when we have all the experience, we can diversify our business strategy to other types of properties & markets.
The above 3 paragraphs are my pitch to YOU, the esteemed and successful BP community that I respect so highly. I have found all of your opinions, advice, and experiences incredibly helpful. I know that *eventually*, in time, I will reach my final goals in real estate (I refuse to quit!), but there is no telling how I will get there or when. So today, I humbly ask all of you- Would anyone be interested in partnering up with a young guy, who has a lot to learn, but a lot of potential? I'm willing to do everything on my own and I'm not asking much. In return, you would receive my return business for years to come & my undying loyalty. I believe I need three things for my business to get a successful jumpstart:
1- I am looking to connect with a private investor who could help me fund the beginnings of the business
2- A real estate agent who doubles as an investor could be hugely helpful in assisting me with the buying process
3- I could use any of the outstanding advice that any of you are willing to take your time to offer (on ANY subject).
Thanks so much everyone,
Dylan
