OKC North Highland area

Corey M.
Posted

Can anyone tell me about the North Highland area in OKC? Is it safe? What level neighborhood would you categorize it as? I know this was previously a rough area, but it looks like a lot of rehabs are being done.

Appreciate your feedback.

@Corey M. I hate it, and you should, too.  Run away!

But on the real side of things: I just helped a client close a property in North Highland and it stands to be the truest and most poetic BRRRR property I've seen in OKC in a while. Currently the reality of the area is exactly what @Levi Ballard and @Forrest Faulconer have illuminated above, yet a decent number of the folks living in NH are long-term residents who are thankful they don't live a mile or three north and value the access to the highway nearby (among other things).

^^^ is speculative, so obviously don't use that line of logic as a primary driver of investing, but dig deep and see if there could be a investing play in the area that matches your long-term goals.
