Hurricane Storm Damage legal question...looking for advice!

I'm looking for advice and figured I'd see if any fellow BPers might have knowledge on this topic. I had a large tree fall down at one of my properties in Fayetteville NC during the recent Hurricane. It landed on part of my fence, a neighbor's fence, and in 3 adjacent yards. I paid a contractor to remove the tree, but he only removed the tree from my yard and off of the fences. Am I legally obligated to remove the tree from the neighbors yards as well? I did file a claim with my INS which provides coverage because the tree fell and damaged my fence. My INS adjustor did say that the other homeowners with damaged fencing from my tree would need to file with their own INS for coverage of their own fence.

Any input is appreciated!
