Tenants now allowing inside to perform home inspection

Hello,

I am in the process of purchasing a two-family investment property in Camden County, NJ. The contract was signed a month ago, mortgage approved this week, but the existing tenants won't let anyone inside to perform a home inspection due to Covid. Do you know what can legally be done in this case? Do I have any other options?

Thanks.

Robert.

This says NJ law gives the landlord a right of entry for inspection purposes (in addition to anything in the lease).  So unless COVID laws in NJ have superseded this law, which I’m not aware of, then the landlord can require the tenant to provide access for your inspection.
