Insurance Payment for Rent?
I've got a rental listing and I had an agent call up about a family that needs to move temporarily and will rent out the unit for 3 months and then potentially an additional 4 months.
Any one hear about insurance paying the rent as "Additional Living Expense?" They will pay a premium ($1K!) above the current rent because of the short term nature of the lease. The insurance company pays directly. This is a new one for me so any details would be appreciated if you've experience in this area. Just want to make sure this is legit. Also not sure how to credit/background check since insurance is paying not the tenant and how a lease is typically structured.
