Looking for info on Bayonne...

Hi everyone, my first post on BP so please forgive me if I'm not up to date on all the acronyms, haha.

My wife and I are newlyweds and looking to buy our first house together; we want a place that we can buy and hold for maybe 5-7 years, then either rent out or sell depending on the market.

I'm looking for as much information about the real estate market in Bayonne as I can find.  We both have commutes in that area (I'm in downtown NYC near WFC, she's in Hoboken/Jersey City), and it looks like most of the housing we're seeing is more affordable than Hoboken/JC.  But admittedly I don't know much about the area and want to make sure it's not only a good investment but safe as well.  We don't currently have any children but that could change in the next few years, so ideally we would need a place with 2-3 bedrooms.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

Jason
