Jersey shore highlands condo

I'm looking to purchase a condo on the jersey shore as both a family vacation retreat as well as a rental when I'm not there. I wanted to reach out to BPers to ask if anyone has similar strategy of using vacation home this way. Some questions i would like to ask are

1. How is the rental market around this area ( 6 months plus)? Would I be better off just renting it week by week during the summer season?

2. Does anyone have a good management company they can recommend?

Please share any experience.
