Detail About Short Term Rental In Omaha, NE

Hello,

This is my first post on BigggerPockets. I am a young investor in Omaha seeking to purchase properties in order to utilize them as short term rentals. I have completed research about the requirements to operate and list these properties on AirBnB or similar websites legally but have not received specific answers. I was wondering if it is necessary to obtain any licenses, comply with any specific zoning laws or file for anything before listing and operating these properties in Omaha?

Please share your experiences with short term rentals in Omaha as any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi there! My wife and I currently rent out the mother in law suite of our house on Airbnb as well as the 2 remaining rooms in the main house. We also just got another house under contract to use as an Airbnb. There are no codes or laws in regards to Airbnb here as long as you own the property. Omaha is actually pretty Airbnb friendly - warren buffet suggested his stock holders use Airbnb during their yearly Berkshire Hathaway meetings! Let me know if you have any other specific questions
