insurance options for Muti-family properties
Hey all!
I'm new to Bigger Pockets and am very excited to be part of this community. I'm looking for some guidance regarding insurance options for our multi-unit properties in Minnesota. Our currently agency is requiring that we have an "apartment policy" for all properties that are > 2 units. They are running $200+ per month per property, which seems a little excessive. Our single family properties are able to be insured for $60-$70 per month. Does anyone have any good recommendations for companies with more reasonable rates. Thanks!

I insure my multi-unit building through NREIG insurance and one of my SFR. They only insure for rental properties. Their coverage, especially liability coverage, is great. They crushed the rates I got from local insurance agents.
