Looking for groups or network spots in the area
Hello,
This is a little bit of information on my self and what I am looking to do. My experience in Real Estate is above average for a normal person, but not at an investor level that I have always dreamed of acquiring. I have a loving family 3 boys wife and I live in the Sartell area.
Real Estate Experience:
1. Held Real Estate license for 2 years, mostly rented homes working for Renters Warehouse
2. HVAC Diploma from SCTCC, Worked for 2 years in residential HVAC field. Familiar with fixing furnaces, AC units. Some knowledge in boilers but expanding on that daily. Familiar with installing / repairing water heaters and working with basic plumbing. EPA 608 Universal license, capable of purchasing handling any class of refrigerant under the current standard.
3. Weatherization Auditor: BPI Building Analyst certified, Lead Renovator Certified, Working on Building inspector certification. Currently working for a non profit organization that weatherizes homes for people. Making sure homes are energy efficient, verifying a good pressure thermal boundary, proper air flow for a healthy home as well as CAZ saftey testing.
4. AAS degree in network administration, while this does not pertain to real estate in general. I am very fluent with technology and how it can be used to grow a business. I can build basic websites and understand low voltage wiring in a home setting.
What I am Looking for :
I need to start networking with people, and I wanted to try this site out first. I am not soliciting any of my services, just trying to connect with a community and see where it goes from there. Please let me know if you have any advice on what I can do to attain my goals or move in the direction of them. I have tried standard financing through a bank, but they are not interested even at a 700+ credit score.
My Short Term Goal :
1. To acquire 1 flip property and turn it for a good return on investment
2. After 2-3 Flips I would like to acquire one rental property to hold
My Long Term Goals: Own 12 Rental properties in the area I can manage and rent, Ideally single family residential homes, but Open to small multi family properties 2-4 units.
Thank You

I know this thread is a couple years old, but I came across it and just wanted to reach out. I’m a couple hours away (south of Fargo) but am also looking to network with people around the area. I’m currently in the process of acquiring my first rental - a duplex in Fergus Falls. How are you coming on your goal to have 12 rentals?
