Kroger supermarket opening in Southgate

I just recently learned that a Kroger Supermarket is opening in Southgate, MI. Since I am from that area, I am keen on investing there. I grew up there and know it well. I was wondering if this would be a good place to invest in senior housing, since having this close by would be an advantage for older people as they wouldn't have to go far to shop. There are many nice affordable houses near by as well as MFR.

I just recently sold my dad's house and my share of the money will go toward this investment.  We'll be ready to begin financially by this time next year.
