Purchasing Duplex - Unusual Counter Offer
Hello,
Newer investor here. Have 1 flip and one single family rental under my belt. Purchasing a Duplex. Listing price was $64,900 and as the duplex had been on the market a while I offered $55,000. Seller countered at $51,900. There was no reason disclosed on why the counter was lower than my offer.
What am I missing? Why would the seller counter at a lower price than my original offer? Sale is based on acceptable inspection. I accepted the counter and all final contracts were signed by seller but I can't figure out why and am wondering what I am missing?
