Hello Everyone - I am new to BP and new to REI world. I am looking to invest in rental properties and would like to know where I should be looking, which area is good for rentals.

Your advice and opinions are greatly appreciated!

What type of tenant are you looking for? Lower priced houses or houses in less expensive neighborhoods will attract working class tenants. Higher priced houses in W. Bloomfield or Royal Oak will attract young professionals. Strong school districts will attract families with kids. Some Cities have landlord licensing requirements, some don't. Some Cities have courts that are more pro tenant, some Cities have more neutral courts. There are solid rentals all over Oakland County. Figure out who you would like your customers to be, buy houses that they would like to rent, at the right price, and you will find it is easy to be a successful landlord in our area.
