Window replacement in MA any at < $1000/ window??

Looking for recommendations for window replacement companies in central MA or options to decrease the cost.   It is a condo so only 5 windows and quotes so far are over $1000 a window and they just say the price has gone up that much.  These are nothing special windows 31  x 43, white vinyl, second floor.  A big box window similar size looks to be $300.    It is not adding up.  Anyone with recommendations or recent experience?

I don't believe self install is an option in a condo.
