Purchasing from a relative to avoid them losing their home

Jessica Prince
Posted

Hello,

Is it possible in MD to purchase a residential house in anne arundel county that had entered the 'pre-foreclosure' process before the COVID eviction moratoriums took place?  No other legal proceedings took place, just the pre-foreclosure status.  They have been behind on payments since before COVID, might have gotten caught up here and there but not much.

If so, is it also possible to eventually sell that house back to the original family member after a year or more (maybe once their credit improves) to allow them to keep their home essentially?

Thanks

Jess
