Looking for first rental property

Justin Wolff
Posted

I currently own a home in Baltimore City and am looking to purchase my first rental property. I was wondering if anyone has experience in Baltimore City vs the Towson area as far as rental demand with crime increasing in the city.

Thank you.

If it were me I would sell Baltimore city and do my investing in the counties . With the high taxes , high crime , higher insurance rates , higher water bills ,crappy schools  and dealing with City government , I have no desire to invest in Baltimore . (I grew up in the city ) . I have 8 properties in AA county , all are doing great , the tenant pool is better , costs are lower .  Schools are better by far .  And the appreciation is MUCH better in the county .
