Understanding Zoning Code for Baltimore

Hello BP Members (Baltimore)

I am rehabbing a property in Baltimore and I do have trades who are licensed however, I would like to be as informed about zoning codes as possible.  How do I look up codes for the different mechanical items.  For example if I want to know how or what is required for a hot water heater install or what are the required distance between receptacles?  I have found a huge document on line for codes but I can never go directly to what I am looking for as for as requirements.  I am not trying to do a licensed persons job but I would like to know where to go if I have a question about how something is being installed, this would also assist me in understanding how much something should cost to meet the requirement and having a good feeling about the upcoming inspection.  Thanks for any information you may provide.

Tracy
